I came, I saw, I had a blast!
Every summer, Trinity School welcomes a small group of youthful and imaginative time-travelers onto campus for the Trinity Classic Summer. This is a lively two-week program of enriched learning for students who are entering the fourth through sixth grades. They’ll experience the rich legacy of ancient civilizations coming alive, as they create art, learn about ancient traditions and government, experience new languages and foods, and act in plays about Julius Caesar, Joseph in Egypt, or Aesop’s Fables. Your child will create some wonderful memories in the process of learning about the cultural and artistic achievements of antiquity.
Trinity Classic Summer runs in a three-year cycle, focusing each year on one of the major ancient civilizations: Egypt, Greece or Rome.
SUMMER, 2010, whisks students back to
ANCIENT GREECE
To reenact the ancient Olympic games. Students take an active role and are immersed in many aspects of Greek life. The action never stops! Students will learn the Greek alphabet and how to draw its characters, hear tales of the ancient Greek heroes, form Greek phalanxes, reenact Aesop’s Fables and just have an overall great time!
