Students in both the junior and the senior years take a two-hour drama class for one quarter. In the eleventh grade, students are introduced to the fundamentals of acting and performance, including movement, voice and interpretation of the text and character. They perform a dramatic work at the end of the course. The senior drama course reviews these techniques and implements them in a full-scale production. Students are involved in all areas of the production: text and character interpretation, blocking, sets, music, costumes and props.
Recent Productions
In October 2012, the junior class performed "The Tempest" by William Shakespeare. In December of 2012 the junior class performed another Shakespeare play "The Winter's Tale."
