The goal of having a uniform is to have students dress neatly and consistently. We rely on parental support to attain this goal. Please assist us by seeing that your child is well-groomed and dressed in a clean uniform, neat and not rumpled. No holes should be in the elbows of clothing, and all shirts other than the banded polo shirts should be tucked in. Uniform regulations apply from the time the student arrives on campus until he or she leaves campus, unless otherwise excused. This means that student cannot wear other clothes to school and change at school, or change into other clothes after school.

Girls' Uniform
Shoes:
- Entirely black, brown or cordovan (soles and laces), ties, flats or slip-ons, leather or leather-like.

Heels must be no more than 1½”. No moccasin, athletic shoes, sandals, cloth shoes or sport boots of any kind.
Socks:
- Medium weight, white cotton crew style without decoration a minimum of 3" above the ankle. No knee-highs.
Skirt Hem:
- Conservative, ranging from mid-knee to no more than 4" below the knee. The shortest a hem can be is at the kneecap.
Pants:
- All girls’ pants must be navy twill purchased from Educational Outfitters with ID tab attached.
- Pants must fit modestly, with a 1" to 2” ease around the hips, in other words, not too tight and not too loose.
- Pant length must be just below the ankle with a simple hem and no cuff.
- Pants are required to be worn for many days of seventh-, eighth- and ninth- and tenth-grade science. The Drama Department will provide pants for eleventh- and twelfth-, girls to use during class time.
Belt:
- Non-decorative narrow black or navy leather with simple buckle. (Optional.)

Boys' Uniform
Shoes:
-Students must wear leather dress shoes. -No athletic shoes, athletic style shoes, slippers, sandals, hiking boots, utility boots, clogs or moccasins. Finish must be a single toned, black leather (no suede). Visible stitching, patterns, and detailing be subtle and kept to a minimum; no logos should be visible. Some tread is acceptable but not a deep tread or hiking boot tread. Please contact the Dean of Boys, Mr. Jeff Showalter if you have questions.
Socks:
- Solid black socks that extend a minimum of three inches above the ankle.
Pants:
- Seventh- and eighth-grade boys are required to wear gray twill pants with ID tab attached, purchased from Educational Outfitters.
- Ninth - through twelfth-grade boys are required to wear gray flannel pants with ID tab applied, purchased at Educational Outfitters.
Belt:
- Students must wear a non-decorative narrow black or navy belt. Buckles (optional) must be simple and small. No brand names, brand symbols, decorative detailing or writing of any kind are permitted on the buckle.
